Heartiest congratulations to Damien Hunter, Ruhi Ozman and their Under-15 Premier 2 team who have succeeded in getting League Runners-up after a long demanding season. Despite leading in their game at home to Greystones Utd on 2 different occasions, they had to settle for a share of the points as the 2 games were abandoned due to injuries to players who were hospitalised after accidental collisions during the matches. If the game had been completed with Castleknock Celtic winning, they would have occupied runners-up spot on their own whereas they had to share the position with Marks Celtic because they got just the one point for the Greystones game. They are hoping to compete in the top flight at Under-16 level (Intermediate Division). The team will be looking to increase their panel of footballers with Premier players in the New Year. Watch this website in the coming weeks for information on the Open Day in early January at the National Sports Campus in Abbotstown - planned date is Saturday 5th January subject to confirmation.
